How ScamSceptible are you today?
When it comes to being more susceptible to scams and fraud, things like tiredness, stress, and even time of day can play a huge role!
Criminals will take advantage of these emotions or external stressors in an attempt to steal your personal or financial information.
That’s why we’ve created a new quiz so you can test how susceptible you are on any day, at any time, to a scam.
Always follow the Take Five advice and remember to:
-
STOP – Take a moment to stop and think before parting with your money or information. It could keep you safe.
-
CHALLENGE – Ask yourself, could it be fake? It’s ok to reject, refuse or ignore any requests. Only criminals will try to rush or panic you.
-
PROTECT – If you think you have been scammed, contact your bank immediately on a number you trust. Report it to Action Fraud at actionfraud.police.uk or on 0300 123 2040. If you are in Scotland, report to Police Scotland directly by calling 101 or Advice Direct Scotland on 0808 164 6000.
